You may notice subtle
adjustments in flow,
aroma and color. We've
made improvements for
a smoother beef meal
and a better-smelling
salmon meal.
We've refreshed our
pouch visuals to make
it easier to distinguish
the updated meals
from previous ones.
The updated meals
are now compatible
with a 12 Fr G-tube
or larger, which
allows people with
smaller tubes access
to Real Food Blends.

Our meals are still made from just 5-8 simple ingredients.
Real Food Blends is the closest to a homemade blenderized diet.**
Your meals are still covered by many insurance plans under
B4149. There have been no changes to product codes.
Compared to the previous meals, our updated meals have
the same calories, serving size, and administration options
(including bolus, gravity, or pump methods).

Our Real Food Blends meals have been updated based on consumer feedback in order to improve each meal. We have made some updates to consistency and aroma, such as a thinner Beef meal and better smelling Salmon meal.
Real Food Blends meals are not certified gluten free. Our meals do not contain any raw ingredients with gluten, however they are produced in a facility that handles gluten ingredients.
Our updated meals will have the same six meal options, same names, similar nutrition but with some minor ingredient and nutrient updates. Our updated meals continue to offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein sources & fat sources. Tolerance may vary by individual, so please consult with your healthcare professional prior to making any changes to your tube feeding plan.
Yes, we anticipate you can. If you have any specific questions or concerns, you may consult your dietitian. Otherwise, simply transition onto the new meals and enjoy!
There have been no changes in allergens in the updated meals. There are no dairy, nut, or soy ingredients in our updated Real Food Blends meals. Please consult product labels for specific allergen information.
The updated Real Food Blends meals may be administered via bolus syringe, pump or gravity feeding with 12 Fr G-tube or larger. Similar to our original meals, these updated meals can be administered via pump or gravity with additional liquid.
Your DME or home infusion company should send the updated meals automatically. You should not need a new prescription for the updated meals. You can download our Enteral Nutrition Order Form here: https://www.realfoodblends.com/insurance/
Initially, during our launch, the updated meal case will have a green sticker stating, "Your updated meals are here". Also, the updated meals will feature a new pouch design compared to the original meals. The updated meal pouches will have new information on the front, including "100% real food", the protein and calories/mL listed, and a different color for each meal name.
